Crossflow filtration

Crossflow filtration gets its name because the majority of the feed flow travels across the surface of the filter, rather than dead-end filtration where the feed flow travels perpendicularly to the surface of the filter.

This allows constant cleaning of the membrane, enabling a high solid concentration of the product slurry.
