GRANROBUR TOSTATO is a product based on tannin obtained by slow extraction with water and alcohol from the central part (heartwood) of the wood. The long maturation of the wood and the highly selective and the extraction methods make it possible to obtain a product with sweet and not very aggressive organoleptic properties, capable of giving the wine characteristics entirely similar to those obtainable during aging in wood. To this are added the catalysis products deriving from the subsequent roasting treatment which gives to wine spicy, toasted and above all vanilla organoleptic notes, similar to those obtainable from the degradation of the wood components (lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose, etc.) during the toasting process of the barriques staves.
