REDTAN is a mixture based on ellagic tannins (obtained from oak wood from the French region of Limousine) and procyanidinics (obtained from grape seeds and grape peel and other species); the composition of this tannin makes it possible to obtain the best results of color stabilization, exploiting the properties of each individual tannin fraction, such as the inactivation of polyphenol oxidases (natural and / or made by Botrytis cinerea) and the formation of stable complexes with anthocyanins. We recommend using REDTAN during maceration and during racking in the production of red wines.
