SIXTAN is a mixture of ellagic, procyanidin and gallic tannins. Its composition assures the better color stabilization for red wines thanks to the ability of tannin fractions to react with anthocyanin fractions of wine. One of the most important actions is, also, the inactivation of oxidasic enzymes which affect grapes with botrytis contaminations or under compromise sanitary conditions. The ellagic tannins, with antioxidant action, are able to improve organoleptic characteristics giving more aromatic complexity and full-bodied wines.
